We received this TV as a gift and have just mounted it in the corner of our workout room using the Peerless PA740 Articulating Wall Mount for 22″ to 40″ Displays. The TV is mounted right in front of an exercise bike, and the 26″ size is perfect for that location (we had considered the 22″ size). The sound volume works for us, but my husband would prefer it to be louder if that were an option. The sound is loud enough to hear very well over the noise of an exercise bike when turned to maximum. I will need to see if there are separate speakers I can buy and mount on the tv somehow. There are audio outputs on the TV – digital coaxial and red and white rca. So far we have only used it for DVDs, and it works perfectly. The picture quality looks great even from side angles and from different heights (although the image dims when I look at it when sitting on the floor). We are very happy with the picture quality.br /br /EDITbr /We have hooked the TV to our cable line (directly, with no box), and are happy with how the TV works for watching cable. I don’t notice slow channel changing.br /br /I’m still trying to decide whether to add external speakers. I purchased an 2 x RCA Male / 1 x 3.5mm Stereo Female, Y-Cable, 6 inch, plugged it into the RCA output on the TV, and attached it to some old computer speakers. That worked well, so I’m considering trying to buy some smaller computer speakers that I can somehow attach to the TV, which is wall mounted. Note that the speakers have to have their own power cord (some speakers out there attach via usb and no powercord, and that style would not work for this tv).

I love the front loading DVD player. It’s good for wall mounting. TV has great viewing and color. I would recommend this tv to everyone, it’s a great deal.

Great set with wonderful picture. Sound is weak so I added Bose Music Monitor speakers and that completely solved that problem (connected to earphone jack). Internal speakers are OK while on the go. This set is identical to one sold by Supersonic but picture quality of Haier is superior. DVD works well. Remote is well laid out and superior to the one that came with the Supersonic. The antenna connection is recessed and diffacult to get to without a wrench. I added a 90 degree screw adapter from Radio Shack and now the connection is easyly made.
Love the dvd feature and added Bose speakers for home use. Set is easy to operate and quality superior to Supersonic.
PLEASE NOTE: Set is black and much better looking than the picture showen. I have two of these units and use one everyday in my bedroom.
In my area an external antenna is required —- I use the internal/external DIRECTIONAL dish from Radio Shack—cost about .00.

I bought this set to hang on the kitchen wall. The convenience of a combined DVD was a major factor in the purchase decision. I’d read the reports criticizing the audio but decided to take a chance and buy it anyway – and I’m glad I did. The audio seems OK to me. Half-volume at 13′ away across the other side of the kitchen is more than adequate. Audio quality is also fine. Anywhere near full volume is way too loud. I really don’t know what the complaints are about – volume? audio quality? or both? The picture quality is also superb as is often the case with Sharp and the DVD is so user-friendly it’s a pleasure to use.

I wanted a tv to mount on my bedroom wall and decided on this one.br /The slim design is good. The picture is excelent. The picture from the dvd player is excelent. The one draw back is the sound is so “quiet” when watching a DVD movie. The sound does not seem to increase higher than the fifty percent level even though the volume is truned up to one hundred percent. The sound from the TV chanels is fine. It is a good thing that my hearing is ok.

I have just recently begun using this tv even though I have had it almost a month so my comments will not be extensive regarding all aspects of the set. At this point, I am very pleased with the cabinet design, the ease of set-up which took only a couple of minutes, and the picture quality which exceeds that of another set which I purchased earlier this year from Toshiba. I have a limited cable line-up in my house but this tv has allowed me to access other cable channels which I do not receive on either of the two other sets in the house. JVC’s picture is much sharper and the search time from one channel to the next is less than on the Toshiba. Since this is a 19 inch set, and the speakers are relatively small, I would say that the sound quality is average for sets of this size. DVDs play effortlessly and the sets menus are easy to navigate. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.
